Know our history

Founded in 1969, initially known as Akimar, it was built by members of the same family and is therefore considered a family business.

Akimar, as it was known before, over the years had its name changed to Indusmek – an idea designed for a mechanical industry.

At the beginning of its history, the first works were related to the horns of the old Ford, which at the time had to undergo a kind of finishing. Ford horns were Indusmek's first big deal, not only because it was a large direct customer, but because they were the initial step in the development of its know-how. Soon after, in view of market needs, Indusmek was requested to treat the surfaces of silver pieces for Siemens production, which was considered its second milestone.

Due to the advent of novelties of expansion of means of communication, a third moment significantly marked the growth of this industry: the participation in the production of terminals made by Ericson. This, seen as a third milestone in its history, has enabled Indusmek not only to improve its knowledge in the field of electroplating, but also to develop new technologies, consolidating its history over these fifty-three years of journey.
